Shred Games Featured Music Artists: Skeewiff

UK based production duo Alex Rizzo and Elliot Ireland are better known as Skeewiff – a pairing whose cheeky humour and dance floor production skills created a unique sound.  Essentially an electronic breakbeat act, they include elements of jazz, lounge and big band music into their style. The result is a contemporary, often instrumental music that is much used by Games, Film and TV producers (FIFA, NIKE etc) and consequently many Skeewiff tracks are subliminally familiar to a wide audience. They have also collaborated with 60's library legends like Hammond organist Alan Hawkshaw and remixed many similar acts like Lemon, Ursula 1000 and Amy Winehouse.

At the turn of the millennium Skeewiff had already tasted worldwide success under various musical monikers and their attention turned towards founding their own record label - Jalapeno Records.

Hoping to acquire a Shred Games featured music artist,, Skeewiff was my all time favorite choice. I reached out to Elliot Ireland and his team at Jalapeno Records to acquire four of their songs to license for the "Shred Games: The Legend of Kid Z." podcast series. I was impressed by how down-to-earth and actually kind Elliot and his team were to me and working with them has made a significant difference in the final production. I couldn't be more happy about that.

You can hear the song "Magnamious" by Skeewiff and Syd Dale right away in the intro in Episode One of the series. The song "Skeewiff vs Big Les" is featured in Episode 7 with Bombman on Bombay Island.. "Smash and Grab" is featured in Episode 11 and "Little Spot of Soul" in Episode 12.
